CAREER OPPORTUNITIES FROM ENERGY SAFETY GROUP FOR FUTURE ENGINEERS AND SPECIALISTS IN THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY

On November 27, 2025, the Energy Safety Group participated in the career event titled «Your Career in the Nuclear Industry». This event was organized by the Ukrainian Nuclear Society, JSC «NNEGC «Energoatom», and the NURECAB project. The goal of the event was to assist students in navigating career opportunities within the nuclear sector, facilitate communication with leading employers in the industry, and share experiences from young professionals who, until recently, had also participated in similar career events.

The Energy Safety Group was represented at the event by CTO Olexandr Mazurok, Head of HR Oksana Pazenko, Head of PSA Department, Project Manager Mykhailo Polianskyi, and Engineer of PSA Group Oksana Dovha.

Mykhailo Polianskyi shared with students how young professionals can develop at Energy Safety Group and what stages their professional career usually begins with. In his presentation, he discussed the company’s key values — safety, innovation, openness, pace, efficiency, and teamwork — emphasizing that these principles shape ES Group’s culture and determine its approach to project implementation.

Mykhailo also presented the main areas of the company’s work, emphasising that Energy Safety Group combines engineering, equipment supply, construction and installation, and design and survey. It is this comprehensiveness that allows the team to work through the full life cycle of projects — from technical solutions to facility commissioning. He separately noted the team’s role, which includes over 100 engineers and scientists with deep expertise in nuclear energy.

«Energy Safety Group always welcomes senior students and graduates eager to tackle real technical challenges. Our young specialists join safety projects at nuclear power plants, working under the guidance of experienced engineers. This setup allows them to develop professionally while continuing their education without interruption. We foster a multidisciplinary environment that integrates engineering, analysis, design, and international work standards. This approach enables young professionals to advance more efficiently and systematically, helping them build successful careers,» added Mykhailo Polianskyi at the end of his speech.

Oksana Dovha, who participated in a similar event in February this year and now works for the company, also addressed the young participants of the career event.

«Last winter, I sat in this hall just like you are now, participating in a career event. I never imagined that by the end of this year, I would be standing here sharing my own employment story,» Oksana told the participants. «I sent my CV to the Energy Safety Group without any expectations, just filled with hope. To my surprise, I received a reply. It was a moment of joy and excitement. During the interview, I wasn’t asked about complex formulas or calculations. Instead, they focused on my motivation: why I chose nuclear energy, whether I was eager to learn, and how I deal with challenges. It was important to demonstrate not just my knowledge but also my attitude. At the interview, they don’t just evaluate your skills; they truly see your potential.»

After the speakers at the career event completed their presentations, time was allocated for informal communication between the participants and company representatives. During this time, specialists from Energy Safety Group addressed all of the students‘ pressing questions. They discussed the initial steps in pursuing an engineering career, internship programs, and the skills that are most valued by the company.

The Energy Safety Group believes that young engineers will play a crucial role in developing the technological solutions of the future. For this reason, the company is creating opportunities for new specialists and inviting them to participate in projects that will influence global energy development.
