PARTICIPATION OF ENERGY SAFETY GROUP IN THE SECOND SUPPLIER SYMPOSIUM OF WESTINGHOUSE IN BULGARIA
ES GROUP EUROPE S.R.O. participated in the Supplier Symposium in Bulgaria, which was held for the second time by Westinghouse Electric Company. This symposium was for new Kozloduy units 7 and 8. This year’s symposium, which was held as a forum for potential regional suppliers to the AP1000® project at the Kozloduy NPP site in Bulgaria, brought together more than 150 participants from 60 companies and industry organizations.
The event focused on the current status of the Kozloduy project, which will include two new AP1000 reactors, as well as on the plant equipment and services, supplier requirements and supply chain opportunities from Westinghouse. Representatives of the American company spoke about Westinghouse’s procurement procedures, including supplier selection and qualification, nuclear export control, and requirements for Westinghouse technologies and products.
As a reminder, in March 2023, ES Group was qualified as a service provider for Westinghouse in the framework of joint projects for Ukrainian nuclear power plants with VVER-440 and VVER-1000 reactors. Last year, ES Group, together with the SSTC NRS, conducted an expert review for Kozloduy NPP Unit 5 as part of the Westinghouse fuel licensing.
