ES Group Europe achieved a significant milestone at the beginning of 2024 with the delivery of the first part of mobile diesel generators to the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant. This comprises the initial part of 3 mobile diesel generators out of a total of 6 units, ranging in power from 110 kVA (88 kW) with an output voltage 400 V to the largest unit with a capacity of 2750 kVA (2.2 MW) with an output voltage 6000 V.

Towards the end of 2021, ES Group Europe signed a contract for the supply of alternative energy sources in the event of a blackout in the power plant block with the Armenian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ANRA). This project is funded by the European Commission as part of the European Union program to enhance the resilience of nuclear blocks in case of power outages. Similar measures are being implemented at other European nuclear power plants following the Fukushima incident in Japan in 2011.

The project is jointly implemented by Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine and ES Group Europe. In the autumns of 2023, successful factory аcceptance tests were conducted in Kyiv, with the participation of representatives of the Armenian Nuclear Safety Authority, Armenian Nuclear Power Plant, and AOSA, confirming the functionality and completeness of the delivered units. The delivery of the remaining parts, along with site acceptance tests at the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant, will take place soon. The first phase of the project will be completed and handed over to the end user in the spring of 2024, with the remaining part during the block outage in the summer of 2024.

In conclusion, it is crucial to note that this was a highly complex project, involving not only the technical requirements and scope of the project but especially the logistics. All equipment was transported from Ukraine, through Romania, the Black Sea, Georgia, and finally to Armenia.
