CONTINUED TRAINING AT THE COUNTERING DISINFORMATION COURSE HELD BY OAK RIDGE NATIONAL LABORATORY
Oleksandr Mazurok, Technical Director of Energy Safety Group, PhD, for the second time took part in the Countering Nuclear Energy Disinformation Course held by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, with the first round started in September 2023 and continued in May this year.
The webinar was focused on creating effective tools to counter disinformation about nuclear energy, which is extremely important and has a particular relevance for us during wartime, said Oleksandr Mazurok. The presentations covered such topics as “What is disinformation”, “How to identify disinformation” and “How disinformation affects our work”. Registered participants had the opportunity to communicate with disinformation experts on how to build and create toolkits to counter disinformation about nuclear energy. In particular, real-life examples related to Ukrainian NPPs and implementation of Western technologies at Soviet-designed NPPs in the world were discussed.
