Energy Safety Group has become a partner the conference “Prospects for introduction of innovations in the nuclear energy industry”

The Energy Safety Group became a partner of the IV International Conference “Prospects for Introduction of Innovations in the Nuclear Energy Industry”, which was held on September 30 and organized by the Council of Young Scientists within the Department of Physical and Technical Energy Problems of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Nuclear Society.

The reports, presentations and scientific works presented at the conference were devoted to the development trends of reactor technologies, the construction of new nuclear power plants and new power units at existing plants, the issue of innovations in nuclear technologies and the prospects for their implementation. Considerable attention of the scientific community was paid to the issue of increasing the security and physical protection of nuclear power plants during the war and the constant threat from russia.

Executive Secretary of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society Danylo Lavrenov emphasized the importance of holding scientific conferences, events aimed at developing the industry and the need to prepare for the time when the country will not only begin to recover, but also build and develop new nuclear technologies in peaceful nuclear energy field, in nuclear medicine, engage in all those projects that were planned before this shameful military aggression. After all, very soon all these projects will be implemented in a free and independent Ukraine.

Deputy Energy Minister Mykola Kolisnyk in his speech noted the current tendency of competition for new technologies, when basically all countries compete for the development of new technologies. And everyone is faced with the question of what to build their fuel balance on for the coming years, since before that this balance relied on the resources of the aggressor country. And this is a question not only about natural gas, but also about installations and components of production of the aggressor country. Therefore, many countries are now faced with the issue of replacing these components with their own production.

Yes, each country cooperates both with its own scientific institutions and with international ones. And today, all world manufacturers are trying to attract advanced scientific institutions to their structure. That is why, it is important today that Ukraine has a powerful scientific potential, and we can rely on the experience and developments of our scientists working in close cooperation with the leading institutions of the world.

The event was held at the Institute of Gas of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with the support of the Energy Safety Group, System Graphite Company and SRPA Impulse.
