ENERGY SAFETY GROUP LAUNCHED NPHyCo SURVEY
The survey as part of the hydrogen energy evolution study in Ukraine and the implementation of hydrogen technologies in NPPs was conducted by the ENERGY SAFETY GROUP, with the participation of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society and the ENERGY SAFETY INSTITUTE. The purpose of the survey is to study public opinion regarding hydrogen as one of the promising areas of energy deployment in Ukraine and the world.

ENERGY SAFETY GROUP is a participant of the EU NPHyCo research project on hydrogen production from nuclear energy. The project is financed under the Euratom program for research and training (2021-2025) dedicated to nuclear research and innovation.
The main task of the project is to study the feasibility of hydrogen production near operating NPPs, the potential location of hydrogen stations, as well as the added value of such projects. NPHyCo is also working on the implementation of the first pilot project for the production of low-carbon hydrogen in Europe, and the study of public opinion is one of the key aspects when making relevant decisions.
