ENERGY SAFETY GROUP PARTICIPATED IN THE “RISKSPECTRUM INTERNATIONAL USER GROUP MEETING 2025”

Chief of PSA Dept of the ENERGY SAFETY GROUP Mykhailo Polianskyi participated in the annual international meeting of RiskSpectrum software official users – “RiskSpectrum International User Group Meeting 2025”. The meeting was held on May 22-23, 2025 in Stockholm, Sweden. The event brought together participants from Ukraine, Germany, France, Great Britain, Switzerland, Sweden, Slovakia, Hungary, the USA and India. The meeting was attended by representatives of the software developer RiskSpectrum and user companies Framatome (France, Germany), EDF Energy, ÚJV Řež a. s., NewCleo, Centroid Lab and others.

RiskSpectrum software is a set of tools for performing Probabilistic Safety Analysis, quantitative assessment, risk monitoring and risk management, which is widely used in the nuclear industry to analyze NPP safety, assess the compliance of NPP units with the established quantitative safety criteria, as well as for risk-informed decision-making approach in nuclear industry, etc.

The developer of the RiskSpectrum software is constantly working on improving the product, calculation algorithms optimization, supplementing the software with new features, tools and functions that become available to users separately or with the upcoming new software releases. It should be noted that such improvements are primarily based on RiskSpectrum users’ feedback and their experience of software application.

During the event, the RiskSpectum software developer presented both new and future planned features and improvements. Some of the participants presented their experience and results of using RiskSpectum software.

Mykhailo Polianskyi noted that the meeting was held in the form of presentations and discussions, which allowed all participants to share their experience of using RiskSpectrum software, discuss aspects of model development and quantitative assessments, as well as learn more about the practical application of various RiskSpectrum tools that have been announced and implemented in recent years.
