ENERGY SAFETY GROUP TOOK ESG RISK MANAGEMENT TRAINING

ENERGY SAFETY GROUP has completed training at the webinar “Sustainable Development in Action: Reporting Practices and ESG Risk Management” from the IFRS Agency.

Guided by the company’s motto “HIGH STANDARD ENGINEERING”, the company’s top management constantly monitors business trends, requirements and present-day challenges, being open to learning, development and modernization of its activities. Today, consideration of ESG factors has become an integral part of business development. Therefore, the webinar from the IFRS Agency outlined the urgent issues of maintaining the company’s competitive ability, its adaptability and strategic management, taking into account ESG risks. The term ‘ESG’ implies combination of Environmental, Social, and Governance areas.

The ESG concept is to assess the company’s activities and investments in the three areas of ESG factors (environment, social and governance), and in accordance with ESG criteria (standards that must be met by the activity/asset/counterparty, etc. and on the basis of which the screening is performed); taking into account ESG principles – the fundamental principles of the ESG concept; by identifying ESG risks in investments or in the company’s activities.

Vadym Ivanov, CEO of ENERGY SAFETY GROUP, noted that companies seeking a competitive advantage should take into account that business development is not possible today without taking into account ESG factors, and as of today, our company is already implementing ESG policies in its activities.
